MANZINI — As Eswatini intensifies its push to position local products in international markets, the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has extended the application deadline for export-ready food and beverage businesses to participate in the Taipei International Food Show (Food Taipei 2026).
The new deadline of 27 March 2026 gives producers additional time to prepare for the global exhibition, which will take place from 24 to 27 June 2026 in Taiwan.
The development builds on EIPA’s earlier call for businesses to participate in the Designed Giftionery Expo 2026, reflecting a broader and more deliberate effort to strengthen Eswatini’s footprint in Asian markets through targeted trade platforms.
While the Designed Giftionery Expo focuses on creative, lifestyle, and value-added products, Food Taipei shifts the spotlight to the food and agro-processing value chain, opening opportunities for producers in beverages, processed foods, meat, dairy, grains, and health-related products.
According to information shared by EIPA on its official Facebook page, the extension is intended to give more export-ready businesses an opportunity to prepare and take part in what is regarded as one of Asia’s most influential food and beverage exhibitions.
Food Taipei 2026 brings together global buyers, distributors, and industry players across multiple segments, creating a competitive platform for product showcasing, networking, and trade engagement.
EIPA’s facilitation of participation is supported by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), alongside the advantages provided under the Eswatini–Taiwan Economic Cooperation Agreement, which offers preferential market access for selected Eswatini exports.
The extension also aligns with EIPA’s broader export development agenda, which includes ongoing efforts to strengthen export readiness through training, market intelligence, and structured trade promotion initiatives.
As with previous international opportunities, the Authority has emphasised the importance of preparation. Businesses are expected to meet international standards, present strong branding and packaging, and demonstrate readiness to compete in global markets.
With the revised deadline fast approaching, EIPA is urging eligible businesses to take advantage of the extension and position themselves for entry into one of the world’s most dynamic food markets.
