The inaugural National Farmers’ Day headlines a week that also features technical training for seed producers, practical livestock management workshops, youth agribusiness financing opportunities and the opening of the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival. Together, these events reflect an agricultural sector placing greater emphasis on commercialisation, knowledge, value addition and market access.
FLAGSHIP NATIONAL EVENT
INAUGURAL NATIONAL FARMERS’ DAY 2026

Host: Ministry of Agriculture
Theme: “Growing with Smallholder Farmers, Meeting Market Demand and Improving Livelihoods”
The Ministry of Agriculture will host the country’s first-ever National Farmers’ Day, bringing together smallholder farmers, commercial producers, agribusinesses, financial institutions, development partners and input suppliers. The programme will feature agricultural exhibitions, mechanisation demonstrations, climate-smart technologies, farmer-business networking and recognition of outstanding farmers through National Farmers’ Day Awards.
COMMERCIAL SEED & QUALITY SYSTEMS TRAINING (TAVI II)
Dates: Monday, 27 July – Tuesday, 28 July 2026
Time: 08:30 AM – 03:30 PM
Venue: Mphophoma Training Centre, Malkerns Research Station
Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Taiwan-Africa Vegetable Initiative (TAVI II) and the World Vegetable Center, the workshop focuses on commercial seed multiplication, Quality Declared Seed (QDS) systems, seed quality management, processing and storage to strengthen Eswatini’s local seed production capacity.
NATIONAL FMD MASS VACCINATION CAMPAIGN
Dates: Throughout the week
Host: Ministry of Agriculture – Department of Veterinary and Livestock Services
The national Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination campaign continues across designated dip tanks as veterinary teams work to strengthen herd immunity and safeguard the country’s livestock industry. Farmers are encouraged to present their cattle according to regional vaccination schedules.
MANZINI FARM MANAGEMENT TRAINING
Date: Wednesday, 29 July 2026
Time: 08:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Venue: Manzini Public Library
Admission: Free
Feedmaster and its partners will host a practical livestock farm management workshop covering biosecurity, cleaning and disinfection, farm record keeping, and branding and marketing of farm produce. The training is aimed at improving productivity, profitability and on-farm disease prevention.

ESWATINI INVESTMENT CONFERENCE 2026
Dates: Wednesday, 29 July – Friday, 31 July 2026
Venue: Royal Swazi Spa Convention Centre, Ezulwini
The conference will bring together government, investors and the private sector to explore investment opportunities across strategic industries, including agro-processing, irrigation, manufacturing and green economy initiatives that support agricultural growth.
YOUTH BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES LAUNCH
Date: Saturday, 1 August 2026
Time: 09:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Venue: Motshane Inkhundla
Hosted by the Motshane Inkhundla Youth Council in partnership with the Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF), the programme will introduce young entrepreneurs to funding opportunities, business planning, application requirements and enterprise development. Agriculture is among the priority sectors targeted.

Dates: Saturday, 1 August – Sunday, 2 August 2026
Venue: Malkerns
The country’s premier food and lifestyle festival returns with a strong agricultural presence. Farmers, food producers, chefs, processors and agribusinesses will showcase locally produced food, beverages and value-added products while celebrating African food heritage and innovation.
