Stratcom Pty Ltd is proud to celebrate the remarkable contribution of Kwanele (Wandile) Mdlovu, a young and promising software developer currently completing his final year in the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology.
Kwanele was engaged by Stratcom as a software developer to lead the design and development of the new Agribusiness Media mobile app, now available on the Google Play Store, with the Apple Store launch imminent. The cross-platform app, developed using React Native, enables farmers, agribusiness stakeholders, and enthusiasts to access Eswatini’s leading agriculture news, stories, and technical content—anytime, anywhere.
Originally from Sigangeni, a rural community in Eswatini’s Hhhohho Region, Kwanele’s journey from a high school learner at Sigangeni High School to becoming a full-stack developer exemplifies determination, talent, and a passion for digital innovation. He holds an Associate Degree in Information Technology and is known for his hands-on skills in both web and mobile development, backend systems, data analysis, and software engineering.
Speaking about Kwanele’s work, Sibusiso Mngadi, CEO of Stratcom, said:
“Kwanele represents the kind of local talent we want to invest in—young, passionate, and solutions-oriented. The Agribusiness Media app is a big step in our mission to digitize agriculture in Eswatini, and Kwanele brought that vision to life.”
Although unable to attend the press briefing due to final exams, Kwanele shared his excitement about the opportunity:
“This was an incredible experience for me. It allowed me to apply what I’ve learned over the years and contribute to something meaningful for the country. I’m proud to be part of Eswatini’s digital transformation journey.”
The Agribusiness Media platform is a flagship initiative of Stratcom Group, promoting digital agriculture and giving a voice to farmers across the Kingdom.
